Analysis: Winslow was released by the Seattle Seahawks on Sept. 1 after spending the past three seasons with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers following five seasons with the Cleveland Browns. He had 75 receptions last season and has 437 in his career. |

A team spokesman confirmed Winslow's release on Saturday, which was first reported by ESPN.com. Analysis: Winslow didn't have much impact during preseason games, but was thought to be a key element of Seattle's offense. The Seahawks thought they could create mismatches using Winslow and fellow tight end Zach Miller lined up against slower linebackers or smaller safeties. Winslow was acquired in a trade with Tampa Bay in May after he said it became clear he didn't fit into the plans of new Bucs coach Greg Schiano. |
