Hamilton worried about race pace

MONACO (AP) Although Lewis Hamilton qualified in second place for the Monaco Grand Prix, the former world champion still feels some way off being able to compete for victory in Sunday's race.

Hamilton has 21 GP wins to his name - compared to just one for his new teammate Nico Rosberg - but the Briton has been beaten by the German in qualifying for three consecutive Formula One races. Read More...

But Vettel's Red Bull has not been its usual dominant self in qualifying over the last three races, and the German's lead over Lotus driver Kimi Raikkonen is just four points going into Sunday's showcase race. With Ferrari's Fernando Alonso also closing the gap after his victory at the Spanish GP two weeks ago, Vettel is under pressure to deliver his third pole of the season. Read More...

Rosberg fastest in Monaco practice

MONACO (AP) Finishing fastest in both of Thursday's practice sessions for the Monaco Grand Prix isn't enough to get Nico Rosberg too excited. He knows Mercedes has yet to prove it can last the pace on race day.

The German driver clocked a time of 1 minute, 14.759 seconds to finish .318 in front of teammate Lewis Hamilton and .437 ahead of Ferrari driver Fernando Alonso in the second session. The times were generally faster than in the first session. Read More...
